Allyson Story | President
Allyson lives in Sandy Hook with her husband and two children. Allyson is an alumni of Newtown Public Schools. Allyson is currently working as a K-5 Math Specialist in a surrounding community. Prior to that she was a third grade teacher. Allyson has her Masters degree in Curriculum Design and Assessment from Western Connecticut State University, and most recently a second Masters degree in Educational Leadership. Allyson is an active member of the community. She serves as the President of the Board of Directors for her children’s child care center, Merryhill Child Care. When she’s not working she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Karyn Holden | Vice Chairperson
Karyn, her husband John, and their two children have resided in Sandy Hook for sixteen years. Karyn enjoys volunteering at her children’s schools and is the Advocacy Chair and second vice president of the Sandy Hook School PTA. For the past 19 years, Karyn has worked for a large financial services company, where she is currently a Product Manager. Her personal philosophy is “Be happy, and surround yourself with happy people.” When not working or volunteering, Karyn enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Casey has been a dedicated educator in the Bethel Public school system for over a decade. She has taught first grade and currently teaches K-3 computer science. Casey holds a Bachelors in Sociology from Siena College; a Masters in Teaching from Sacred Heart University, as well as Educational Technology 6th Year from UCONN. If not teaching, she is having fun with her family and friends, traveling, camping, golfing or taking photos! Life is too important to take seriously...
Frank is real estate professional with over 15 years of experience in the acquisition, design and development of best-in-class residential communities. In 2010, he co-founded Spinnaker Residential, LLC, a boutique real estate company specializing in multi-family and mixed-use development. Mr. Caico holds a Master of Urban Planning degree from the University of Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning and a BA from Canisius College. Frank resides in Newtown with his wife, Elizabeth, and their two children.

Keira Morin Kowalczyk
Keira has lived in Newtown for almost 30 years. As an alumni of the Newtown Public Schools, she and her husband have chosen to raise their two boys in Newtown as well. Keira holds both a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Sacred Heart University and a Masters of Arts in Special Education from Fairfield University. She currently works in Ridgefield. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and working out at Crossfit Hook'd.
Mike has spent the past 20 years leveraging technology to drive innovation in many of the worlds leading Life Sciences companies, both as a consultant and in house. He is currently at Alexion Pharmaceuticals where he is the global head of Compliance Operations. Mike holds a Bachelors in Computer Science from WCSU as well as a Masters in Technology Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Mike has been living in Newtown , along with his wife and three young children, for four years. In his spare time, Mike enjoys Competitive Athletics, Skiing, Hiking, and traveling the world.
Corina has been a scientist working for pharmaceutical companies, most recently with Boehringer Ingelheim. She was a double major at the University of New Haven and holds a Bachelors of Science in Forensic Science as well as Biology. When not working, she enjoys participating in Crossfit, having fun with family and friends, and watching her son play sports. Corina has been living in Newtown with her husband and their two children for five years.
Lifelong resident of Newtown. 14 year STEM/STEAM teacher in Weston Public Schools. Two kids in Middle Gate School. Basketball and Baseball Coach in Newtown.
With her husband Glenn and four children, Kinga has been a 16+ year resident of Newtown/Sandy Hook. Kinga has actively volunteered with many aspects of the town from district budgets to PTA/PTSA to the community center conceptualization. She holds a BA in Marketing from Manhattanville College and previously worked in advertising/PR/marketing as a Senior Account Manager.
